Who It's For
Communications directors, corporate affairs teams, and reputation managers tracking how their organisation is perceived across stakeholder groups.
What It Delivers
The Perception Assessment maps how your organisation is actually perceived across the stakeholder groups that matter — not how your communications team believes it is perceived. The output is a dimension-level analysis: each perception theme is scored on a five-point scale, grounded in the specific evidence driving it, with narrative interpretation of what the scores mean for your reputation position.
Supporting outputs include a dimension matrix showing scores across stakeholder segments, sentiment trajectory charts that reveal whether perception is improving or deteriorating, and a risk signal dashboard flagging emerging themes before they consolidate into stable negative narratives.
How It Works
The pipeline begins with systematic evidence collection across the relevant media, stakeholder communications, and public record sources for your organisation. Evidence is clustered into coherent perception dimensions — the distinct themes and attributes that define how stakeholders understand and evaluate you. This clustering step is analytically significant: it reveals the actual perception architecture rather than mapping pre-assumed categories onto the evidence.
Each dimension is scored against a five-point scale using the underlying evidence as the basis. Stakeholder influence weighting is applied so that dimensions driven by high-influence actors carry appropriate weight in the overall assessment. The scoring is transparent and auditable — every score is linked to the evidence it derives from.
The 16-stage pipeline produces a longitudinal data point when run at intervals. Trajectory analysis across multiple assessments identifies whether specific dimensions are strengthening or weakening, which stakeholder segments are driving change, and where intervention would be most effective.
Who It’s For
Communications directors preparing for strategic reviews, corporate affairs teams ahead of major announcements or consultations, reputation managers tracking the impact of a recent campaign or crisis, and organisations that want to move from intuition to evidence in how they understand their stakeholder standing.
